We booked 3 days of hiking with Yellowstone Hiking Guides and received an email 4 days before the first hike stating that all hikes were canceled due to weather conditions. As stated by a previous reviewer I also checked upcoming weather and did not notice anything out of the ordinary for this time of year. Luckily, we were able to book with another company at the last minute and had almost perfect weather (for late Sept.) all three days. It was a very stressful few days while I looked for another company as I had not prepared for unguided hikes and wanted our Yellowstone experience to be safe and memorable (good memories!).

We reserve the right to cancel a trip or trips in the event of severe weather. We are sorry you were inconvenienced. We did contact you in advance and issued a full refund.

The trip was cancelled two days before it was scheduled to start due to "inclement"weather. The forecast was for 34 degree lows and 50 degree highs and partly sunny skies for the day of the hike. I have a hard time believing anyone would consider that inclement weather in Montana. I ended up having to book another guide for three times the cost due to the last minute booking.

We reserve the right to cancel trips due to severe weather, though it is rare that we have to do so. Sorry you were inconvenienced. We did give you advance notice and a full refund.

Josh, Emily and Jake were amazing. So knowledgeable and patient. My mom is vegetarian and they have been so accommodating with her diet and making sure that she had a lot to eat for snacks and lunch. The hikes have been so beautiful. We have nothing but nice things to say. Absolutely a great group!
