Our group had only one full day to observe and visit the Grand Canyon. Having a small group with a knowledgeable driver/tour guide really was the way to go. The van was packed with the driver and 12 tourists, all of varying physical capabilities. Elizabeth made certain that we all were able to hear, see, and get around the various sites. She has lots of experience with not only the Grand Canyon area, but was well informed on the Southwest in general. I am a birder, and she made sure to point out and help me identify some of the birds we saw. Our group hoped to see elk....and she helped us with this too.
The only thing I might suggest, is omitting the 1 hour one way drive to the Navajo reservation. The drive out and back, shopping time and lunch might have been better served with perhaps an opportunity to see the local Grand Canyon IMAX film, visitor center and have lunch there at Grand Canyon Village.
In summary, it was money well spent, is a great way to see lots of different views of the Grand Canyon, while having fun learning about the area in a small group.
