The Grand Canyon West experience was amazing. The facility was modern and well kept.. We loved the indoor restaurant overlooking the canyon. The Hualapi exhibits were quite interesting and the Native American dancers brought a real element of history, tradition and pride to the visit. The buses used for the short trek from the entrance to and from facility were comfortable. Of course the scenic views were phenomenal.

The west rim of the canyon is NOT handicap accessible. They say you can use a wheelchair there. Be warned, you can not. Other than the sky walk, there is not a single viewing spot that is safe for wheelchair use. The paths are very, very rugged with large rocks and pits.every step of the way. Visited August 3, 2021. Very disappointed I was misled about being able to use my wheelchair.

Purchasing tickets was quick, easy, and saved us $14 per ticket. It was easily scanned on the screenshot on my phone. Seniors and military received discounted tickets at Grand Canyon West ($36 vs $45 online). Purchasing online avoids standing in a 15-30 minute line to purchase tickets. You can take a camera/your phone to all areas except the Skywalk. The 1st stop (with the Skywalk) is a disappointment, but the next stop is well worth the money spent. We climbed on rocks and took some amazing photos. The 2.5 hour trip from Las Vegas to the West Rim was worth the money to spend only 5 hours vs 9 hours in a car to the South Rim for a day trip. We also stopped at the Hoover Dam visitor bridge and got a picture standing in 2 states. Overall, I would recommend Grand Canyon West and the ticket purchase online.
