Don't go!!! The whole trip was terrible! General Admission with Skywalk/meal was $142.00 for my husband and I. There was no one out front to advise visitors about the trip and no signs explaining, you just had to figure it out for yourself. They had 2 kiosks to buy tickets but 1 was broken. We waited 15 minutes to get to the kiosk, bought the tickets, and got in line again to go in. Again, nobody greeted us or gave us any indication of where to go/what to do. We looked at t-shirts while a woman behind the desk was on her phone and just ignored us. We decided to just follow the other visitors outside to the next line. This was the line to get on the bus that takes everyone to the skywalk. It went fairly fast because a new bus came about every 3-5 min. Nobody in line had much of a clue as to how long this ride would be, how long we were allowed to stay, etc. Absolutely no guidance was given to anyone. We get on the bus and are told the first stop was the Skywalk, after that, some other lookout that starts with a G, then back to the ticket place. It was a fast ride but no info was given about where to redeem our meal tickets or any other pertinent info. We spoke to a guy who was leaving and he advised us that the only place to get food was the outside trailer/grill. The indoor restaurant was closed. So we got in line at the grill. There were approximately 40 people in line in front of us. After about 30 minutes, my husband decided to wait in line for the Skywalk while I got the food. He came back twice to check on me and had someone hold his spot because he had made it to the door and I still wasn't there. There were a good 400 people in front of him when he first got in line. It took 1 1/2 hours for me to get our lunch!!! There were only 2 people working- 1 to take orders, 1 to cook. At one point, they just shut the window on a lady about 5 people ahead of me and didn't open it for 15 minutes with no explanation. When I finally ordered, I had to go wait in another line for our food. I kid you not, the cook would put several condiments in people’s bags 1 PACKET AT A TIME! No sense of urgency in the least! He seemed to enjoy watching us wait. As I'm finally getting our food, he hands me 2 waters. I tell him it's a water and Sprite but he sticks the waters out the window and ignores me saying “2 waters”! I tell him again, he says it again. So, I point out the ticket that clearly states 1 water, 1 Sprite and he informs me that they may have Sprite but it's probably not cold. I take it anyway. I was so frustrated but tried to remain positive. That was quickly undone when we are told that you cannot take photos on the Skywalk, you have to pay them to take your picture. You have to put all of your belongings in a locker so you can’t take a photo on your own. The Skywalk is a semi-circle, not nearly as high up as they advertise it to be. We took photos on the very dangerous ledge that you could fall off of easily as there is no barrier whatsoever. If you still decide to go after reading this review and others who have given you fair warning, keep your kids right beside you because they could easily just run right off the edge of the Grand Canyon never to be seen again and nobody who works there would bat an eye! We ended up hopping the bus back to the ticket place and going home after that. Many others did too, that bus was packed to the gills and the driver made sarcastic comments about us not going to the second rip-off. Didn't want to spend another minute there! This place is awful and I hope you heed the warnings!
