Our booking was simple and smooth. The Grand Canyon is not allowing busses to the South rim due to Covid. We saw a special online for the South rim and called and they were able to honor the special and change it to the West rim. Thank you, Nan! (Booking agent)
When we were picked up at our hotel, our guide asked us where our vouchers were. I said “we don’t have vouchers, but I can show you my confirmation email”. She then began to lecture me and say that in the future, I should always print things out because something could happen. I replied that “the email confirmation did not tell me I had to print my ticket”. She was still lecturing me. As I started to pull up the email on my phone she said “it’s okay don’t worry about it, I can’t just call them and make sure you’re good”. Obviously we had purchased the tickets correctly because the bus came to pick us up, she had our lunch orders, and our names were on the bus seats. In 2020, most people do not print out paper tickets from a computer. Most people show tickets on their phones. I would have printed out the tickets if I was instructed to. First impressions mean a lot, and because of this initial interaction, I was turned off from her for the rest of the trip.
Other than that, the tour was great. Timing was efficient, food provided was nice, and the Grand Canyon was gorgeous.
