Margaret, our guide, was a wonderful story teller - as we had a small group (5) it was much more personal and very relaxed. Although our walk was at a very conservative pace, and not too extensive, we did learn a great deal about the city's beginnings as well as tasted some local fare. Portions were a little more generous than just tastings so I found myself not needing dinner that night! Alcohol tastings were also generous but of light drinks like beer and cider so no tipsy walking was seen thereafter LOL! The only thing that would have made this tour better was to have covered more territory - we basically walked the distance of about 2 city blocks i.e. around the restaurants where we tasted and the cemetery across the street. No need to worry about being tired out! You will learn a lot and taste some fun bits...catfish, shrimp and grits, Tennessee fried chicken, sweet potato fries, and finally a sweet bite of fruit tart and a wonderful chocolate chip cookie.

I'm so glad you enjoyed my tour and were eager for more. We do have several more tours to different areas if you're interested. Margaret loves sharing the "extras" about Atlanta's history. Our food here in Atlanta is so delicious we need to let everyone know. Thank you for your review and attending our tour.
