The charter ride was great! Comfortable ride. You can be inside or outside of the boat! Staff was friendly & educational. The view of the water and islands was breathtaking. The Orca whales were very active and the best thing to watch ever!!! Once in a lifetime opportunity!

Absolutely fantastic experience with this tour! The boat captain Dan and the two naturalists on board (Deborah and Kathy) were extremely nice and full of information and seemed to be exactly where they wanted to be. My girlfriend and I were both expecting a few sightings of whales but we got about 7 miles out from the dock and it seemed like the whales just surrounded us on all sides and even put on a show with some of them slapping their tales and one leaping out of the water a few times. Dan kept his distance but at times the whales came closer than expected and he shut down the boat and we just took in their magnificent presence. We saw Granny (100 years old) along with a mother and child and a large number of other members of the J pod. It was truly one of the best experiences of our lives and I can't recommend them enough!

My mom and I went out on May 10th. The boat was roomy, clean and well-maintained. The crew (husband and wife) were friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the whales in the area. They provided binoculars, gloves, hats, etc. We spent about an hour idling off the coast of San Juan island watching whales in J pod. The captain dropped a mic in the water, and we could hear all of the sounds the whales were making under the water. That was really cool. On the way back we stopped to see sea lions sunning on some rocks. This was a great trip, and I would recommend it anyone visiting Orcas Island.
