Our family enthusiastically agrees with the other rave reviews. We saw many more whales than we expected and the captain and crew couldn't have been more accommodating. One of their many nice touches is providing a pre-assigned seating area in the enclosed section of the boat for each family to stow their stuff. And, they limit the number of passengers in order to ensure that everybody has a great outside viewing area. They also provide free binoculars, but on our trip they weren't necessary because the whales came so close to the boat. We loved Orcas Island and this whale watching trip was the highlight.

We went out today (7/6/10) to enjoy a day looking for whales. And we found them! We saw six different Orcas and they gave us a wonderful show. There were seven in our group (2 kids, 5 adults) and the folks at Eclipse Charters were amazing. The two naturalists on board and the captain kept us informed of all the things we were seeing. It was a wonderful way to spend a day!

I was so impressed with our whale watching outing with Eclipse. They were very concerned about our safety and strictly followed the rules of whale watching out of concern for the whales. There were two naturalists who spent one-on-one time with each of the passengers. The trip was so informative and helped us gain a greater appreciation for the wildlife of the San Juan Islands. We were able to see many Orcas. It was an excursion to remember.
