The views were breathtaking. The sights stunning. What was truly remarkable about this experience was our guide, the incredible Monica Hudson. I knew we would be in a beautiful area but I had no idea we would be getting a history lesson! Not only did she tell us about the flora and the fauna in the area, she had insights into the history on how Carmel, Monterey, and Point Lobos came to be. Smart, witty, and funny, I felt as though I had spent two hours with an old friend. We will be back. I highly recommend! P.S. She has also written a book entitled “Point Lobos”, which she may have an extra copy of to sell, and if you’re lucky, she just might sign it!

It was fun to join you and your fiends on the walk, especially as I always learn something new on the trail. It turned out to be a botanical adventure!

Thank you so much much to Monica! You made our Sunday! Monica is a knowledgeable steward of the beautiful Point Lobos area! She knew all the plants, the incredible wildlife, and the many roles the land has played. A published historian with ties to the area, she told many stories. It was worth the tickets also to avoid the challenge of public parking. Be sure to wear long pants as poison oak abounds. Restroom are available along the way.

We had an amazing hike with Monica. She was extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife and history of the area which made the 2hr hike really enjoyable. Our two kids were completely engaged the whole time. Would highly recommend this hike tour to anyone visiting.

It was fun to look at the park through the eyes of your young children. Their great questions and observations gave us a chance to really explore the plants and animals.
