Thank you so much much to Monica! You made our Sunday! Monica is a knowledgeable steward of the beautiful Point Lobos area! She knew all the plants, the incredible wildlife, and the many roles the land has played. A published historian with ties to the area, she told many stories. It was worth the tickets also to avoid the challenge of public parking. Be sure to wear long pants as poison oak abounds. Restroom are available along the way.

We had an amazing hike with Monica. She was extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife and history of the area which made the 2hr hike really enjoyable. Our two kids were completely engaged the whole time. Would highly recommend this hike tour to anyone visiting.

It was fun to look at the park through the eyes of your young children. Their great questions and observations gave us a chance to really explore the plants and animals.

We felt like instant friends with our delightful guide, Monica. She provides a unique perspective from both her research as a published historian and from her personal experience as a local resident and park employee. She nicely balances historical facts with interesting stories. Her portable scope allows for viewing of wildlife such as otters, sea lions, and birds. We've been to Point Lobos many times, but this was our favorite visit. Parking is easy, since she provides space on her private property located just south of the park entrance. As a side note - if you live in the Bay Area, anywhere from Salinas to SF, support her Rent A Living Christmas Tree🎄 business. We look forward to bringing family and friends with us for future tours of the Carmel and Monterey area.

I always learn something new, I just loved our mushroom conversation! I am also glad that the safe, private parking was helpful. Now I am looking forward to meeting your family for a "custom adventure" of Monterey history, Steinbeck's Cannery Row and maybe Robert Louis Stevenson's visit. Until next time!
