What a delightful morning! Although it was a hot day, the shade of the barn and the large fan kept us quite comfortable. They clearly wanted to provide a comfortable experience for visitors, as restrooms, water and bug spray were available. A fascinating talk by Dennis, the owner, who brought the breed to the states. Very interesting about the Gypsy culture and history as well as the history of the horses. We'd love to sit down to dinner with Dennis and hear him tell his fascinating stories for hours! Visiting the beautiful horses and other animals was a short, causal walk with plenty of shade and a guide who really knows these horses. While not yet a good destination for young children (the talk would probably not interest them for long), the vision for the farm would clearly turn it into a wonderful place for kids to spend a day. We wish them the very best achieving that dream, and have no doubt it will happen. In the meantime, we would highly recommend a visit for teens and adults. Younger children would at least enjoy walking around to visit the animals, most of whom are quite friendly and safe, and all of whom are well kept and beautiful.
