The Gypsy Gold Farm

our first forty five minutes is an educational journey conducted by Dennis Thompson, the discoverer and founder of the Gypsy Vanner Horse breed. Dennis and Erin will then introduce you to a Gypsy Vanner stallion and explain the envisioned look and details unique to the Vanner breed. Your second hour is a walk among horse filled paddocks lined with ancient oaks laden with the romantic Spanish moss of the south. On your walk you will meet beautiful stallions and mares and friendly Gypsy Vanner Horse babies. Your Gypsy Gold Farm Tour ends with a picture opportunity with an incredible Gypsy Vanner Horse stallion and a visit to the Gypsy Gold gift shop.

La ferme d'or tzigane

nos quarante-cinq premières minutes sont un voyage éducatif mené par Dennis Thompson, le découvreur et fondateur de la race Gypsy Vanner Horse. Dennis et Erin vous présenteront ensuite un étalon Gypsy Vanner et vous expliqueront le look et les détails envisagés uniques à la race Vanner. Trip Advisor never disappoints and today was a perfect example ! After reading about this tour , we couldn't wait to hear all about these gorgeous horses ! Dennis , the owner and speaker personalized the history and his life experiences with these Gypsy Golds. His fascinating talk made you feel his passion for this breed , from its genetics to its geographic movement. After listening to his presrntation, we were free to wander around the 40 acre farm filled with mules, donkeys, and Gypsy Golds . Having a keen sense of humor only added more enjoyment to this experience for us ! Thank you for these 2+ hours ! We could not stop taking pictures. That's a good thing ....Because I am sure we will not stop looking at them !

Dennis Thompson shared his beautiful love story of family and animals with an endearing genuineness that our group of 6 totally admired. The history of the Gypsy Vanner Horse registry and what led up to the development of this new breed was intriguing. Do yourself a favor and join a tour to see these gorgeous horses and some of their babies.

The tour was amazing. The history, the knowledge of the owner, the horses. It was beautiful. I highly recommend if you’re in the area and if you’re not, plan a trip. Well worth it and bring kids, grand kids, family and friends. Great Tour!
