The Gypsy Gold Farm

our first forty five minutes is an educational journey conducted by Dennis Thompson, the discoverer and founder of the Gypsy Vanner Horse breed. Dennis and Erin will then introduce you to a Gypsy Vanner stallion and explain the envisioned look and details unique to the Vanner breed. Your second hour is a walk among horse filled paddocks lined with ancient oaks laden with the romantic Spanish moss of the south. On your walk you will meet beautiful stallions and mares and friendly Gypsy Vanner Horse babies. Your Gypsy Gold Farm Tour ends with a picture opportunity with an incredible Gypsy Vanner Horse stallion and a visit to the Gypsy Gold gift shop.

La ferme d'or tzigane

nos quarante-cinq premières minutes sont un voyage éducatif mené par Dennis Thompson, le découvreur et fondateur de la race Gypsy Vanner Horse. Dennis et Erin vous présenteront ensuite un étalon Gypsy Vanner et vous expliqueront le look et les détails envisagés uniques à la race Vanner. Votre deuxième heure est une promenade parmi les paddocks remplis de chevaux bordés de chênes centenaires chargés de la romantique mousse espagnole du sud. Au cours de votre promenade, vous rencontrerez de beaux étalons et juments et de sympathiques bébés Gypsy Vanner Horse. I had a wonderful time at the farm! The owner (Dennis) is a spectacular story teller of history and his passion and of the breed. It was like listening to an friend. His plans for the future of the farm (a cultural and educational facility to honor the breed and his late wife) sound beautiful and I hope they come to fruition. The tours he gives will help to assist him in making that happen. In addition to considering the farm tour perhaps you will also take a moment to check out his cushti bok foundation. There are 40 acres of peaceful land and beautiful animals. I’m so glad I went and would recommend this tour to all. I can’t wait to go back.

Dennis Thompson is the owner of this farm and he provides an outstanding tour. It is educational mixed with a touch of humor. The horses are magnificent and petting is allowable and even encouraged. Everyone has a chance to have a photo op with one of the Gypsy Vanner horses. I have taken friends here and everyone loved it! I myself have visited the Gypsy Gold Horse Farm a few times. It never gets boring. Each time it is interesting and a wonderful experience. It is not to be missed!

My Husband and I took the Gypsy Gold Horse Farm Tour today and it was so educational and wonderful. Dennis Thompson, the owner, gave a fascinating talk on the origin of his farm and the Gypsy Vanner horses. Not only is the history of the horses fascinating, as is the history of the farm, but Dennis is one funny guy. He provided us with so much information, and then we took the walking tour of the farm with the tour group with Dennis as a guide. We were introduced to the beautiful horses, the mules, the goats, the parrot - it was just such a nice great experience. I would do it again any time. Great educational opportunity for children interested in horses. There's also a small gift shop that had some interesting items - I walked away with two leather bracelets and my Husband bought a leather keychain, but there was much more - videos, books, etc. about the Gypsy Vanners, I would highly recommend this for any visitors to the area, and the locals also.
