Half Day rafting trips on the Lower Animas are incredibly popular for busy schedules. You'll get a couple hours on the water with the best rapid sections.

Plus, our guides are well-trained and absolutely love what they do. You’ll get a hoot out of them as much as they get a hoot out of running this river.

Awesome experience. Highly recommend the rafting trip. Rode the lower Animas River. The staff was great at Mild and Wild.

We went on the economy rafting trip a few years ago (~ 1 hour on the water) and had such a great time. This year, we rafted a half day with James and he was friendly and fun, especially with our 5 year old. The life jackets were clean and the bus ride was short. We got the premium raft, which is a smaller boat, and it made the rapids and lower water easier to navigate. Highly recommend!

Our family of 8 had the pleasure of having James Rushing as our raft guide this weekend. James was energetic, fun and knowledgable of the history of Durango we saw throughout the river. It is evident that James enjoys being a raft guide and creates a great experience for the guests on his raft. Highly recommend the mild to wild company as a whole, specifically James as a guide, you won't be disappointed. The company was very easy to work with and made booking the trip effortless.
