We were advised to wear swimsuits because of stopping at waterfalls, etc. we only saw waterfalls from a distance. We had one stop at a black sand beach and it started pouring rain so we really didn’t get to experience it. Although we came back this same way, tour guide did not offer to stop again. We stopped to get ice cream 10 minutes before stopping for lunch…stopping after lunch would have been better since we came right by it again. Also, 2 locations were mentioned for lunch,one with pizza and the other food trucks…but all of a sudden it was only pizza place. Not much was pointed out on the drive, but if we asked questions, they were answered. We were told to tell what snacks we would like on the drive which we did, but they were never offered. We paid a lot of money for a long meandering drive .

Regarding the stops on the road to Hana, please understand that some locations may be avoided during storms due to flash flooding. Safety is our top priority and we always take precautions to ensure the well-being of our guests. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the change in lunch location and the missed opportunities for stops. We visited 8 locations based on a previous contact with Experience Maui Tours. On the morning of departure, our guides, Kobe and Kasey confirmed our visit choices and suggested some others as well. We were a group of 10, so we were in 2 separate vehicles. Kobe and Kasey were quite informed, interesting, and enthusiastic guides. On each site, Kobe and Kasey mentioned items to not miss at each site. We went to a jungle swimming hole, fed by a waterfall (you'll need to have your bathing suit, and water socks (optional). What a beautiful surrounding, the kind you only read about. We visited a lava tube (a small flashlight or cell phone flashlight is very helpful to really enjoy this) we visited three beaches, all entirely different, one having historic significance, in fact, Kobe had much information of the origination of the islands and their development to current day. He is a great story teller. The crescendo of the day was our last beach where we saw nearly 70 sea turtles on the beach. This was more than I could have imagined. I thought if we were to see turtles, it may have been 3-5, but this was amazing ! The Road to Hana is very winding, but beautiful beyond imagination at each turn. We were traveling with a 2 year old, so if you tend to get motion sick, Dramamine or an equivalent would be recommended. This is a Don't Miss !

Took a trip with my family and it was such an amazing day! The highlights of the day were getting to swim under waterfalls, bamboo, and red and black sand beaches! We even got to climb through a lava tube. Michael was our tour guide and he was super knowledgeable about the area and had a great playlist the kids loved. He picked us up from the Four Seasons and we drove the whole way around so we caught a beautiful sunset towards the end of the day. We got to enjoy the jungle and lava flows without the hassle of driving ourselves. Would highly recommend!
