Half-Day Retractable Glass Top Tour in Rocky Mtn National Park

Experience a taste of life at Rocky Mountain National Park, on this tour you will do it all. You will travel up above the trees, over two miles above sea level. You will get to take a short hike or two and see fast flowing snow melt, waterfalls, and glaciers. Come and experience the awe inspiring beauty that is Rocky Mountain National Park, or “Rocky” as the locals call it. Our knowledgeable guide will give you an in depth guided tour telling you all about the science and history of Rocky and its animals. This tour travels up the famous Old Fall River Road. We will take a half-way break at the Alpine Visitor Center(closed during PM tour), which is the highest altitude visitor center of any national park. Upon leaving the Alpine Visitor Center you will journey across Trail Ridge Road, the highest continuous paved road in North America, reaching the highest point on the road at 12,183’. Coffee, hot drinks, and cold refreshments as well as a variety of snacks are provided while on board.

My husband and I have hiked most of the national parks and loved them. This year we realized that we were not enjoying the experience the way we used to so we decided to book a tour. Hey, there’s a first time for everything. This was, by far, the best decision we’ve made on this trip. First of all, the vehicle was so clean and comfortable (and well stocked with snacks and beverages; both hot and cold). The open space was conducive for taking photos. The tour guide Bryan; well there aren’t enough adjectives to describe how wonderful he was. He was so knowledgeable about all things RMNP and he even gave us restaurant recommendations before we departed. He was so chill. I’m normally a “white knuckle” passenger, but I was absolutely relaxed the entire time. Most importantly, my husband (the driver) loved the experience of being a passenger. This was new for us and we were so glad we were in Bryan’s capable hands. Thank you Purple Points Tour Company for providing this wonderful service! I’ve already recommended it to my sister who has a place in Denver.

Had an amazing tour with Brian-beautiful scenery, stops for gorgeous views and photos, sightings of elk, moose and marmot, and lots of information on the history of the Rocky Mountain National Park. All this from the comfort of a Sprinter van with a clear retractable roof ( great for when we drove through 5 minutes of tiny hail) and stocked with cold and hot drinks and snacks! Highly recommend this tour!
