Aperçu
The 8 mile whitewater stretch through the Snake River Canyon takes you through mix of calm sections where you'll be able to take in the scenery and wildlife, and exciting rapids. On this smaller 8 man raft your paddling skills will be put to the test as your guide leads you into the big waves of Kahuna and Lunch Counter, so be prepared to paddle hard and have a blast getting soaked!
Guests 16 and over will be charged a $3 Bridger Teton National Forest User fee at check in.

  • During the call our office staff will review check in procedures of the day to help limit the time spent inside our office. This may include signing e-waivers for everyone and paying for any wetsuit rentals in advance.
  • You will be getting soaked on this trip. So wear items of clothes that are not made of cotton, synthetic clothes are best!

We have rafted the snake numerous times both commercially and privately. I have to say Sandy was the best River guide we have had. He was professional yet very friendly. The trip itself is always wonderful, we saw 5 bald eagles! I highly recommend Dave Hanson rafts and especially Sandy as the guide (maybe they are all wonderful but we know about him!).

The excursion was fun and very exciting. Would have liked to have a picture of our trip but the cost of pictures was ridiculous. Didn’t buy any, otherwise a fun excursion

We went on an 8 man raft for the 3pm trip down the Snake river. Our guide Billy gave us a complete safety lesson and how to paddle the raft as well as what to do if we fell out or flipped. He was enthusiastic, full of experience and an all around fun guide. The river was fast, (we went on June 23rd and the water was just out of the high time). The rapids we hit soaked every one in the boat and they look much bigger in the boat then from the road. Perfect trip for all families that have never rafted before and even all others. All 5 of us had a great time and agreed this was the highlight of our trip. We will go rafting again thanks to the Dave Hansen rafting company. Professional from the driver of the bus, our guide Billy who was great and our whole experience. All of us are still laughing today every time we look at our pictures!
