The experience overall is great. I highly recommend it. Kayak in the canyon is a very unique experience and it is nice Sean had prepared all the equipment. He even prepared rain coats for us as it was raining during our trip. But I want to add this wouldn’t be a substitute for the traditional upper/lower antelope canyon trip. You wouldn’t be able to hike to the place like you see in the posters. Not to say that the views are bad. Just want to set the expectation right

Thank you Tianyu for the opportunity to discuss some of the topics, like bringing proper clothes for kayaking and hiking. I’m glad you mentioned the extra effort I made to provide rain gear for you last minute because you didn’t have any. I’m grateful I had a chance to teach you beginner kayaking lessons as well, you both were first timers and the 5 miles of kayaking was a bit of a challenge for you physically. I’m Very glad I was able to coach you up and give you professional lessons because I’m a certified kayak instructor not just a guide, so thank you for that opportunity to highlight that detail as well. Also thank you for mentioning Upper/Lower Antelope Canyon as we tour the same Antelope Canyon those are just trademarks for the given section of that business. In the section that we tour in Glenn Canyon National Park we enjoy all the shapes of a Southwest slot canyon: A,H,V shapes plus the 6 miles of waterway in the canyon. I would like to also add you did great as a beginning kayaker and probably with more time and experience you can come back and get further into the canyon on land. The day you came on the tour we did not get to the A frame sections as the pace of the paddle was really slow and I hope you enjoyed all those pictures you stopped to take at the several sections you did. I want to see you hike further than level 1 next time, the experienced kayakers get to level 2 and 3 so hopefully you’ll be ready next time. I’m very glad to highlight how clear and honest the description is of this adventure through the “lowest” section of Antelope Canyon. I’m not sure why you had to “set the expectation right” where it clearly doesn’t mention the words “lower/upper” maybe you need a lesson on geographic linguistics, and also have more reasonable expectations as first time kayakers. Thank you for the chance to clarify. Glad you enjoyed it. Like I said when I was air dropping all the pictures I took, please come back once you get more time on the water so you can be a little more prepared. The more water time you can get between now and then the further into the canyon you will get. To clarify and set the expectations for future customers it took you almost 100 minutes to paddle 2.5 miles and the average time is 60 minutes one way. With more water time your paddle skills will improve from beginning beginner to intermediate beginner and you should improve that miles per hour pace from a little over 1 to almost 2. Beginner intermediate average pace is 2mph and intermediate is 2.5 mph with advanced intermediate being 3mph. The intermediate paddlers see more of the sections that are like the upper/lower and to clarify MOST of the customers say the paddle and hike is BETTER. They do see it as a worthy substitute because they are more experienced kayakers so they appreciate the 2.5 hours on the water, the premium gear, and the freedom to hike an hour in the canyon without anyone telling them when they can or can’t take pictures. Lastly people enjoy the smaller group sizes and the large variety of geologic features. Thank you so very much for the opportunity to share these insights.

We had an amazing time on our kayak/hiking trip with Sean! He made the experience very enjoyable and he was very informative about the surrounding nature. We went in the middle of November and it was the perfect time to go because we basically had the entire space to ourselves and the weather was perfect! 10/10 would recommend to anyone up for an adventure that you don't come across very often. Thanks for working on your birthday to show us around!

Ken thank you. I want to really highlight how much I appreciate you for being on time and setting the tone for the adventure because you were ready! At the end of the day everyday it’s such a pleasure to host clients who get step 1 correct by knowing where to go when to be. Where and when for the win! Have a great New Year and enjoy your next big adventures!

Intimate experience with small groups and a great guide! Especially the kayak part was very special - being pretty much alone with the nature is definitely unforgettable.
