I really wanted this to be the bomb & It was an experience, but wouldn’t be interested in doing it again. We probably kayaked 3-4 miles…. We got a bit close to one whale & her calf, but most of the time we were sort of watching them from a distance, similar to watching from shore. Also, we didn’t know that the snorkeling portion of the trip would require you to be able to get in & out of the kayak in open water, I stayed in my kayak with another woman while the others snorkeled as I didn’t feel comfortable doing this. Also, I was told that the capacity was 1 guide to 4 kayaks, yet we were in a group with 7 kayaks & 1 guide. Wes was our guide & I think he was doing his best, but no one could hear what he was saying most of the time. The operation felt disorganized & chaotic at times. Additionally, I called Red to question weight limits prior to booking as the website definitely says the limit is 230lbs. I told him my husband weighs closer to 250lbs & he assured me that was fine, yet he blurted out to my husband “how much do you weigh”?? Definitely needs some polish to their “people skills”. My group of 5 all agreed that we should’ve just taken some kayaks out from our resort. Maybe the experience would’ve been better with a smaller group?

Sorry for your unusual experience... WE would like to point out that you were NEVER told it was one guide to 4 KAYAKS, we limit our tours to 10 PEOPLE per guide which is STATE LAW regardless of how many kayaks are on the tour. Yes, you have to climb in and out of the kayaks in open water. I am sorry you didn't understand this when you booked...after all this is what a kayak/snorkel tour consists of! I apologize if you were embarrassed by my asking how much your husband weighs but we MUST ask so passengers do not damage our kayaks (should we have brought a weigh scale down to the beach?). I suggest that next time you book a tour on a boat...

Amazing adventure. We paddled out with our guide into whale waters where we saw at least 20 whales, a double breech and a single breech up close. They have a microphone to hear the underwater world up close. We paddled to turtle bay snorkeling with the turtles. Saw the biggest turtle, who must have been over 20 years old. This trip is highly recommended. The guide was excellent and the experience will be remembered for a long time.
