1. This is my 2nd time to Seward as well as the NP tour and I happened to go on a Major Marine Wildlife tour; without question, the tour via Kenai Fjords is better in all aspects; better boat, more comfortable boat, and apparently a more knowledgable captain (?); we saw more wildlife on a NP tour than on the "wildlife" tour via Major Marine. 2. I know that conditions vary but my overall impression is that the Kenai Fjords outfit is more professional - established - solid; highly recommended.

I went on a Kenai Fjords 6 hour cruise on Mother’s Day weekend and had a terrific time. In spite of less than ideal weather and big swells, the friendly crew provided excellent service. Several passengers were ill, including me, but the crew kept a compassionate eye on us and encouraged us that it would get better - it did. The captain kept an informative dialogue going punctuated by animal, waterfall and eagle sightings. We were lucky to have a grey whale circle our boat repeatedly so we all could see. The finale was the glacier viewing and we got close enough to see it and stayed long enough for everyone to get photos of it and with it behind us. A crew member netted a floating piece of ice - amazing how big they are - and drinks were sold made with glacier ice. Passengers were allowed to bring in their own snacks & drinks plus there was a little snack bar with items for purchase. Complimentary fresh baked cookies were handed out on the way back from the glacier and a box lunch was also provided. It was a treat to see Kenai Fjords National Park - a Little slice of the Alaskan beauty. Highly recommend adding this cruise company to your Alaska vacation itinerary.

Took off on a fully equipped and very comfortable cruise ship and navigated through Seward seas with once -in -a -lifetime views of the landscape, horizon, glaciers not to mention the Orca whales and birdlife (Tufted Puffins etc). The Glacier views were breathtaking. Useful guidance from Staff and a very active Captain/crew
