As the title implies, we stopped here without high expectations as we felt it was someplace we simply "must" stop while we're in the area, but we were pleasantly surprised. Neither of us pay much of any attention to horse racing, but the museum and tour was actually more interesting than we thought and it was very neat to go out and see the track. We lucked out and there happened to be races the day we were there, so we got to see one during the tour of the facility. Overall a great experience and we'd recommend it!

Great way to visit Churchill Downs while visiting this museum. The tour guides from this museum are very knowledgeable. A great 20 minute video of Churchill Downs to watch before going into the racetrack. Worth the money.

The Kentucky Derby Museum was outstanding. The 360 degree movie was top notch and informative. The follow on tour of Churchill Downs was amazing. Well worth the time spent.
