Let's raise a glass to history! This fun, informative and engaging 90-minute walking tour is sure to please anyone who wants to really get to know the local culture of Ketchikan. You'll embark on your pub crawl with a true local who will share the colorful history of the bar scene through stories and vintage photographs. You'll hear infamous stories of days gone by, facts of the prohibition era when the red-light district was in full swing and the legacy of many of Ketchikan’s most popular hot spots. Guests must be 21 years of age, have legal photo ID and be able to walk over the course of ¾ mile, flat terrain. Must dress for the weather.

Did this on cruise as had done other Ketchikan type activities before. On the surface, this seems strange - pub crawl at 1030 am? But very nice time with Sasha, a local with family ties far back into not only Ketchikan, but the history of the pubs themselves. Learned the history of Ketchikan while walking and having a few drinks. Had plenty of time to walk Creek Street and pretty much all of Ketchikan walking back to ship.

The whole thing was like being shown around a new town by an old friend who has recently moved and wants to take you to all their new favorite spots. Kolbe showed us the local pub scene and filled us in on the town, its history, and its culture. It was very personal and a nice break from the rigid, touristy things that you normally run into when coming off of a cruise ship into port. I'd recommend this to anybody looking to spend time on something more genuine than the standard tourist trap attractions.

We booked this as an excursion on our Alaskan cruise at the last minute. It was one of the best days we had on our 7 day trip! Stacia was very informative about the area and happenings, fun to be with and super friendly. Drinks we tasty too! We recommend trying this excursion!
