My adult niece wanted to snorkel and I wanted to try Snuba. When I called the office to ask questions, they were knowledgeable and assured me we could do just that at the same time and if my niece wanted to Snuba, we could change in mid-trip. The staff on the boat (whom, I'm sorry, I lost my notes and can't remember their names, Cody may have been our guide) were also very knowledgeable, informative, and most importantly, making sure our comfort level and safety was the #1 priority.
I did try the Snuba thing, and while my experience was 100% my own issue (weight and unadmitted asthma), the weight belts kept flipping me on my back and I was expending so much energy trying to right myself, I was unable to catch my breathe enough to calmly use the breathing apparatus. We both just snorkeled during the experience and still had a great time.
The other issue was the weather which I know is not the fault of Snuba Key West or the staff, but I couldn't rate an Excellent since we were not able to get out to the reef, but had to stay in the harbor.
Note to future adventurers...if you have asthma, don't be like me and deny even a mild case of asthma can affect you on activities like this. Become self-aware and I have come to the realization, it will. Tell your guides, don't hide it.
