Legoland in Goshen, NYwas a terrific place for our 2-day adventure. Our group traveling from CT consisted of 3grandparents, 1 mother, and 4 cousins aged 9 through 12.
Our hotel stay was especially enjoyable; the colorful rooms in the kingdom section were creatively decorated & well designed; the spacious pool was fun, clean, & chockfull of interesting floating objects such as colorful Legos. The refreshment stand offered treats that our kiddos enjoyed.
We appreciated our pleasant, knowledgeable,
& efficient hotel restaurant waitress Crystal who served a delicious dinners for all. Crystal went out of her way to individualize our orders, offer suggestions, and bring us special sauces or spices, Plus she offered all kinds of suggestions for visiting the amusement park the next day. Hats off to her for being one of the best restaurant servers we have ever met. Breakfast the next day was impressive- especially the sausage & bacon served on small skillets.
The park exceeded our expectations! The first thing we noticed was how spacious and well laid out it was. There was no sense of crowdedness as in our CT Amusement park.
It was easy to rent an electric wheelchair for one of the grandmothers in our group, and it was equally easy to find rides to thrill all four of the kiddos who like moderate or intense rides. The Dragon was their favorite!
My husband and I liked the amazing live show with the skateboarders doing extreme moves as well as the sky ride in the gondola like vehicles.
Our pizza and salad with chicken hit the spot and the opportunity to swap our figurines was fun. There was something for everyone.
The selection of Lego kits and gifts to purchase was quite impressive. Each of the cousins selected pieces of jewelry and one medium sized kit, which they brought home & immediately put together within two hours.
One suggestion we have is that the large gift store could have benches or chairs for those who need them. After a long day of walking around the spacious park, we grandparents wished that the shop had somewhere to sit as we watched our kiddos select their gifts to bring home. A staff member whose name began with a C graciously got a folded chair from the side room for me to sit on since I was experiencing back pain. Her kindness was greatly appreciated.
