The three hours spent navigating through the streets of Nolita with our friendly and informative guide Jackie were well worth the price of admission as part of our Food Tour of New York. We were very lucky to get a summerlike day in late October which only added to the value of the tour. Don't be mistaken - while we did get to see spots where Martin Scorsese, Jim Gaffigan (not Italian) and John Gotti made contributions to the city's cultural landscape, we only had one dish that was of true Italian roots. That sample was a work of masterclass - a Prosciutto Margherita Pizza constructed and cooked right before our eyes in an Italian imported brick oven. From there, we wandered around the blocks of Nolita that could be mistaken for a classic Scorsese movie set, sampling dishes from nationalities including Vietnam, Spain, and Mexico. Sweet treats are also found on multiple stops, so by the end of the tour you leave more than satisfied. Food tours are a great way to orient you to a New City in a unique way - forget the trolly tours - or to visit a neighborhood to learn about it's rich history and various foodways.

This company does the best food tours out there. This was my 3rd tour with them in 3 years and all have been fantastic. The restaurants they pick all have outstanding food and all have a great tie to the neighbourhood where they are located. What has made my tours extra enjoyable is Bert. Bert is an amazing tour guide who is personable and who tries to make a connection with each guest. How he remembers everyone’s name is beyond me. He is also very knowledgeable in all things New York, loves to share all the cool details and gives great recommendations on where to eat. I look forward to my next trip to New York for another tour.

Bert was great he could carry a conversation with a fence post! Had a great time lots of interesting information about NOlita , the food stops were often and the food excellent. I would do this tour again with Bert or any other in which he is the captain, excellent!
