Welcoming guests to Kauai since 2007, Luau Kalamaku is Hawaii's only luau show performed “in-the-round,” offering optimal views of the stage. Witness the unearthing of the pig from the traditional imu (underground oven) and enjoy a hula lesson. A craft fair featuring unique items by local artisans awaits on the sprawling lawn. Feast on a delicious buffet of local and familiar favorites and enjoy a Mai Tai from the open bar. The main show tells the amazing story of the ancient Hawaiian legend of Kalamaku “child of the new land." Through laughter, fear, seduction and fire, a new legacy is created, born from the cherished seeds of their ancestors. The theatrical luau show culminates with a fantastic fire dream featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing.

Great story telling through Traditional dance. The venue is huge. I liked the opportunity to visit local craft people before the show. The seating and buffet were well organized. You are assigned a seat as soon as you arrive and then you can wander around. The servers tell your table when you can go up for the buffet. Lots of food. The show was well done. Lots of costume changes and varieties of dancing. The fire dancers were amazing. The singing entertainment was very good. Nice voices and musical talent. Takes a while to get out of the parking lot at the end of the night because everyone leaves at once.

Great show and good food. Drinks are very basic but are included. Very very organized. Feels a little like herding cattle but makes everything smooth, quick and efficient. Staff was pleasant and helpful.

The luau was great and so was the food! We had a good time watching the performance, especially the fire dancers! Amazing!
