Luau Kalamaku with Buffet Dinner & Show

Overview
Welcoming guests to Kauai since 2007, Luau Kalamaku is Hawaii's only luau show performed “in-the-round,” offering optimal views of the stage. Witness the unearthing of the pig from the traditional imu (underground oven) and enjoy a hula lesson. A craft fair featuring unique items by local artisans awaits on the sprawling lawn. Feast on a delicious buffet of local and familiar favorites and enjoy a Mai Tai from the open bar. The main show tells the amazing story of the ancient Hawaiian legend of Kalamaku “child of the new land." Through laughter, fear, seduction and fire, a new legacy is created, born from the cherished seeds of their ancestors. The theatrical luau show culminates with a fantastic fire dream featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing.

Anna was a wonderful host, taking good care of us and teaching us about the different sea animals. We had a wonderful time!

We are traveling with kids, so a luau was a must. The show was great. We didn’t get premium seating, and I really thought our view was totally fine. The stage is in the center, so I think most seats are pretty good. The most disappointing thing was the food. Aside from it being mediocre, the biggest issue is that it didn’t feel authentic. No poi, no taro… low mein and pasta salad.

Located inside a covered area so you are protected from rain but breeze from the side keep you cool. The food was great. The show was also excellent with lots of fire dancers in the end.
