Welcoming guests to Kauai since 2007, Luau Kalamaku is Hawaii's only luau show performed “in-the-round,” offering optimal views of the stage. Witness the unearthing of the pig from the traditional imu (underground oven) and enjoy a hula lesson. A craft fair featuring unique items by local artisans awaits on the sprawling lawn. Feast on a delicious buffet of local and familiar favorites and enjoy a Mai Tai from the open bar. The 45-minute main show tells the amazing story of the ancient Hawaiian legend of Kalamaku “child of the new land." Through laughter, fear, seduction and fire, a new legacy is created, born from the cherished seeds of their ancestors. The theatrical luau show culminates with a fantastic fire dream featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing.

I purchased prime seating. We were placed in back row table under the band and loud speaker. I visited with staff and was told that these were the seats that I purchased. What good did it do to purchase prime?

An amazing experience! Driving in they direct you to your parking space to make it easy for you to leave once the show is over. Once you walk up you have to check in to the little booth upfront in which they give you a guide for the show. After you check in they direct you down a path where they lei you and take professional photos for you to buy during the show. You can either buy a digital copy or printed copies for you to purchase as well. When you check in they give you a ticket to give the the hostess to direct you to your assigned seating. It’s open bar so you can head over the the bar where they give you an option of drink to choose from and give a tip for their service. They will have a couple stands for you to buy jewelry, professional pictures of the island and other little items. The speaker will advise you when it’s time to go back to your seat so they can start dinner in which it is a buffet style. The food was amazing very tasty and an enjoyable. During this time they will call you by your assigned table to keep order and keep a good flow of traffic. You can also get dessert once everyone has gotten their food which is just a coupes of little pastries. Here is when the show is about to begin! The performers where amazing telling a story with dance and music! The whole show was phenomenal from start to beginning! If you’re visiting Kauai I highly recommend this luau! If I could I would rate this experience 10 stars me and my wife enjoyed every single second of this experience!!
