I have been to several luaus. This exceeded my expectations. Great crowd flow including buffet. Good food. Generous bar. Loved the local market browsing before the dinner. The show was simply fantastic. Extremely well done. Thumbs up on every dimension.
This luau is pure Hawaii! The setting is at a plantation not too far from Lihue, which makes it a wonderful setting to hold a luau. It was held on beautiful grounds with awesome scenery. Tropical plants and flowers surround you. This was such a perfect place much better than a concrete pavilion we saw at Hotel luaus. They give you about 1 hour to walk around and take in the outdoors or peruse the vendors setup. I didn't feel like the vendors were intrusive at all. You can easily ignore them if you want. The bar is open and they will make you anything you want to drink. Not sure what you are in the mood for? Just tell the bartender surprise me! and they will make you one of their specialty drinks. At about 6:15pm the Imu ceremony is held. We had a front row to watch this and it's definitely something to see for the first time. Dinner Buffet is then served. The food was all very good. I didn't feel like they encouraged you to go back for seconds though, so make sure you load up the first pass through. Desserts are placed out and you can take at your leisure. They were just okay tasting though. The show starts about an hour after dinner is served. It was an entertaining authentic show with dancers, singers, and fire performers. Overall we were very impressed and happy we chose this luau versus many of the other ones we saw advertised.
amazing show !!! great seats, great show, great food, and we had a shuttle that provided round trip transportation, what a great night !!!
