Avoid the crowds of the other "cattle boats" in Kona, and enjoy a small-group manta ray snorkeling experience with a maximum of 12 passengers.

This tour departs from Keahou Harbor in South Kona and enjoys a short 5-minute boat ride to our snorkeling site, Manta Village.

Your Captain and snorkel guide will educate you on Kona's famous manta rays and will discuss our safe and humane approach to engaging with the gentle giants.

After entering the water, you'll hold onto our lightboard, with your feet propped up by floatation devices, as the manta rays perform a graceful ballet beneath you. The manta rays filter feed on plankton that naturally gathers at the surface just before sunset, then accumulates underneath our lights. This is an opportunity to enjoy an evening on the water and watch in amazement as the manta rays glide around and dance for you.

We are proud to be a Green Listed company, and we take an environmentally cautious approach to our interactions with the manta rays.

Staff was great. Friendly and helpful. We only saw on Manta Ray but they offered to let us go again any time. Recommend to go on the later times. The black lights used attract the plankton which attracts the Mantas. So night darkness helps. Sunset is less ideal.

Thank you for the feedback. Most companies won't offer a free trip if you see a manta ray, but this tour was below our standards so we wanted to do something special and take care of you. Mahalo

The experience was amazing! A must do while on the Big Island. Our crew was annoyed with the tour before us and seemed snappy at everything. Our trip the day before for daytime snorkeling adventure had a crew that was the best!

Thank you for the feedback. We're glad you had a wonderful time on the dolphin snorkeling tour! The safety of our guests, as well as the manta rays, is always our top priority. In some cases, our staff needs to make requests for customers to follow rules, and we apologize if this was perceived as being snappy. We are in the customer service business, and we always go out of our way to show our guests the best time possible, which sometimes includes asking our guests to follow the rules and protect the safety of other guests and the manta rays. We need the entire group to follow the rules, so the entire group can enjoy the tour as much as possible. Mahalo
