For snorkelers, we will be floating on the surface as a group on our custom built board with spotlights pointing down on these creatures swimming below. Watch as these beautiful creatures glide beneath you, performing somersaults and spins. For the certified divers, this is a really easy night dive, we will mostly be kneeling in the sand at the bottom of the ocean no deeper then 30 feet with lights above and around us.

This adventure includes all gear (mask, snorkel, fins, wet suit if requested), snacks, beverages and a delicious lunch. Also provided sunscreen and towels.

It was an amazing experience. The welcome was warm. The first stop was quickly reached. My husband was the only diver and Ryan took perfect care of him. Joe was in charge of the snorkelers and although there was also a non-swimmer in the group, he managed to take care of all the participants. When we were back in the boat, Connor had already prepared towels for all participants. On the way to the Mantas we were able to enjoy our delicious lunchbox and got the instructions for the Mantas. As soon as the board with the light was in the water, the first manta could be seen. Here too, Ryan and my husband first went into the water and down to a stone circle on the ground. Nine mantas were to be seen again and again that evening. Ryan even made a great video of one of the mantas swimming right over my husband. She gave it to us right after. We were 7 snorkelers that night and all got wetsuits. As soon as we were in the water, we couldn't get out of the amazement. The mantas were so close and we also had several mantas. I forgot to count. Joe was telling us some facts about the Mantas. Unfortunately, time passed too quickly. Back on board there was a warm shower for everyone and Connor had prepared towels for everyone and cut pineapple. Back in harbor we all got a warm towel, as you know it from the plane. The perspectives of divers and snorkelers are slightly different and both beautiful. Unfortunately we do not have the time to enjoy this excursion a second time. The entire crew impressed us that evening with their service, competence and friendliness. The Mantas were a special experience that we will never forget. Please keep doing so and we will recommend you unreservedly.

We had an incredible time with Kona Ocean Adventures last night. We charted the boat for just the 2 of us and if you have the means, I would recommend that. We saw many Manta Rays (at least a good 7 of them over and over again) for a good solid hour of watching come up brush to us. They have the most powerful LED lights so the Mantas came to us instead of others. Justin and Joe did a great job bringing us there, making us feel comfortable with the experience, and back. We were actually nervous about it and growing more nervous buy the minute on the way there but they made it comfortable. Their anecdotes and fact telling about everything was also great to hear. And their new tray of appetizers for after was quite appreciated.

Go with Koan Ocean Adventures for a truly Knock Out experience. We first did an afternoon dive: Jenna was patience as my ears were hurting when descending. She gave me space and time to do what I had to do: be calm and breathe. She was very attentive even though it’s a very intimate small group. The main highlight was the manta ray night dive. Jenna put us where the manta loves to fly by, fly above and fly right in front of our eyes. A truly beautiful experience. The crew provided useful tips for this manta dive. Stay close/safety instructions etc. The other crew: Joe and Connor were amazing too, they were helpful and really work together as a team to make every diver feels comfortable. Thank you for such an amazing service. Mahalo.
