This is an incredible experience, not too be missed!! There are a bunch of tour options and we booked in last minute with Eka for the 7pm tour. We caught uber to the pier and the boat is located right on the dock, second carpark. We were greeted by our two guides, and we were quickly in the boat and on our way to the mantas which is about a 5 min journey. Wetsuit jackets, snorkels and a pool noodle are provided. Once you are in the water and holding onto a floating raft, all the tour companies work together with their lights to attract the plankton and the rays which is awesome. We spent about 30mins in the water and you need to be able to hold onto the raft and float (pool noodle under knees) for that time. Then nature just put on a show for us and it was awesome!! So many rays, and they literally come so close to the surface the first time it happens everyone screams but in a good way. Time after time they glide past, scooping up the plankton in their huge mouths. Just incredible. This tour is a quick trip compared to others we saw advertised, out and back within the hour, but really it was all we needed. 30 mins in the water at night is a good amount of time. Guides were friendly, informative and helpful. A tip, pre arrange a taxi pick up, it can sometimes be difficult to get back to accommodation from the pier at night.
