Francis was great! He is a wealth of knowledge and super friendly. So glad we chose this tour! It was a tossup between this and the ghost tours but after seeing the size of the ghost tours I’m so happy with my choice!

Our family of four enjoyed learning the history of the area and Chief D's folksy style. This tour was full of interesting facts and lore - a great evening excursion! Chief D is a great host and enthusiastic promoter of Roanoke Island!

Absolutely loved this experience of Manteo’s original historical walking tour led by The Man, Chief D’Ambria. He was so knowledgeable about this history of the area, but was also a great storyteller that was both engaging and hilarious. You’ll learn a lot and also just hear stories that make you love Manteo and the OBX even more. I would take this tour again just to be around the Chief and his awesome energy! Ps: Ask him about what he thinks happened to the Lost Colony! It will really make you think!
