This tour had potential. Manuel Antonio Park was beautiful. The beach & the water were breath-taking. We saw some of the things advertised on the tour. Juan, the guide was horrible. He spent a lot of the day commenting on female's bodies at the park. Our group had 3 ladies & 1 male. Even the male seemed put off by Juan's comments. We attempted to stop in a shop to purchase T shirts for our kids at home. Juan rushed us out of the store stating that we had lunch reservations that wouldn't be honored if we were late. We got to the lunch spot- it was completely empty & no running water to wash our hands before eating. Clearly stopping in a soveneir shop wouldn't have been an issue. Juan then insisted we all eat together. The other 2 people in the group didn't speak any English. Juan, who apparently speaks many languages didn't attempt to aid any conversation between us. It was an uncomfortable day. Wish we didn't spend the $ on the tour. Would have had a nicer day finding our way on our own.

From the moment you boarded the tour your attitude towards the other ladies and locals was not the best, certainly you and your partner showed clear aversion towards the fact that this country does not have an army (your partner is a US army recruiter) this became more obvious from the moment you realized what religion I have, and because of this attitude the other ladies, who are Chilean and spoke perfect English did not want to talk to you or your partner. besides this clear aversion against locals both of you made clear racist comments, also tried to diverse the tour from its timings and while the ladies and everyone else was at the van already you decided to enter a souvenir shop, at a time where they were waiting for us at the restaurant. I am Juan Jose Castro, The person from which you are making such a subjective comment, from now on please be more appreciative of different cultures, please respect people from different faiths and avoid racist comments and keep in mind that private tours do exist so you can impose your timings to your own tour and not to other participants of the tour. curiously the Chilean ladies were very happy with my services, which clearly said that to Tukan Tours. ​

Our family booked the day trip to Arenal and Baldi. We had an excellent time. Our tour guide, Ely spoke very good English and was a wealth of knowledge regarding Costa Rica. In fact, we liked him so much, we're booking Manuel Antonio for tomorrow. You will not be disappointed.

We kind of stumbled on Tukan while we were wandering around Jaco. Now, we booked passage to town via our hotel, instead of renting a car. We hadn't arranged for a ride back to the airport. We walked in to Tukan on a lark, and made arrangements for a ride back to the airport in less than five minutes for almost half as much as the hotel charged us. They picked us up at the hotel exactly on time, and about an hour and a half later, we were there. We also arranged for a trip to Manuel Antonio Park. We're glad we did. I have forgotten the name of our guide (forgive me, please), but he was exceptionally knowledgeable about CR and the reserve. Learned a lot, and he was funny, too. Pointed out all kinds of interesting stuff that we wouldn't have seen on our own. He rescued me from some kind of disaster as I was filming a monkey fight at the beach. I guess they could have fallen out of the trees and whooped me. Thank you. If there's a criticism, it would be that we could have spent another two or three hours wandering around the park reserve. There's so much to see that you can't do it in a short walking tour. Other than that, it was exceptional. They had a website not long ago. I vaguely remember seeing it early this year as we were planning our trip. Not available now. That's a shame. I wanted to send some pictures to the tour guide. Find Tukan. It's worth the search.
