Let me start by saying at the end of this we were all happy we did it! But, to be honest we were expecting a more leisurely experience. The photo on the website portrays a slightly different experience than we had haha!
We had an atmospheric river during our tour, which meant total down pour getting ready for and the first 3-4 miles of our trip. It is 6 miles in total, again I missed that message somewhere. It was hard. Our arms were killing us by the end. We were soaking wet, the rain gear provided did not do much good. Thankfully I brought an extra pair of socks, but the rest in my group were pretty miserable. I wish we would've worn 3-4 more layers. Perhaps we just had a bad weather day!
Our guide Mike was sweet and tried hard to make us laugh. He did a really good job. Had the weather been better I think we would have really loved this. No one else in our large cruise group saw what we saw. For that it was worth it! My arms are still sore and my feet are still cold...jk :)
Also the guides should be prepared to take photos for us. Thankfully the other group took photos otherwise we'd have no proof.
