Known for its art, each wall in Midtown tells a story.

Midtown Sacramento is a most vibrant part of the city! Among other things, tour guests will learn the intriguing history of murals in the city, while experiencing Sacramento’s current art scene. Guests will also try dishes from some of midtown’s finest menus, in an area of the city that has exploded with restaurants in recent years.

Along the way, we’ll pop into venues with farm-to-fork ingredients and farm-to-glass libations, all sure to tantalize your palate while filling your belly. Our culinary concierge will guide the group in and out of eateries while pointing out the sights and sounds of midtown in between.

Local Roots Food Tours limits the group size of each tour to no more than 14 individuals. Special dietary needs can be met with prior notice. Senior, military, and children discounts are available.

Amazingly fun and informative tour of Midtown. Dawnie’s love of Sacramento is quite evident and very infectious. It was a most delightful and fun way to spend a Tuesday afternoon in Sacramento.

Even though we live in midtown, we wanted to explore more that midtown has to offer. We were shown places that we had never been to before, which was really awesome! Even the one restaurant that we had attended before, we were introduced to new items that we never considered ordering before. Kevin was a great tour guide and we had lots of fun info shared with us along the tour. The art we were shown were awesome and it made me look at midtown in a completely new way.

Really didn't know what to expect when our friends asked if we would like to go on this tour. It was so beyond our expectations. Donnie greeted us at our appointed time and off we went to experience great food and art work. We had excellent variety of foods, a cocktail, coffee/chi, and amazing desserts-all while walking around learning about the beautiful murals in Midtown. Donnie shared her wealth of experience about the food industry and art as we walked and ate our way around town. Donnie's warm personality and ability to adapt the tour to people's needs made the tour so much fun! I would highly recommend this tour whether you are a local or visiting from out of town!!!!
