In previous years we had taken guided canyoneering trips with various companies. A year ago we decided to take a canyoneering course with Christopher and Get In the Wild Adventures to actually learn the techniques rather than just following behind a guide. The course was fantastic and we learned a ton. There was a gap in time between the course and when we had a chance to go on our own, so we went again with Get In The Wild on a private course. After that we went canyoneering on our own and had a fantastic time. This season we took the Pot Hole Escape course, which was also great. Christopher and his team of instructors/guides are awesome. Highly recommend them if you want to take the step from following a guide on a day trip to actually learning canyoneering skills.

My son and I booked a day long Canyoneering adventure into Robber’s Roost. Met our guide Logan in Hanksville and drove out to the canyon. After a short, strenuous hike we started our descent. Logan was a great canyoneering instructor, providing clear, concise instructions. In no time we were rappelling down through a series of canyons. At no time did I feel unsafe. This trip exceeded my expectations and I look forward to doing it again.

I had another phenomenal 2-day trip. This time I got to bring some of my friends and family on their first canyoneering trip and they had a blast. Christopher is a wonderful guide and teacher. I’ve learned so much from him on my trips with Get in the Wild. Exploring the canyons with him is one of my favorite Utah experiences, and I’ve learned so much about canyoneering from him. One of our days, Shane guided us. He did a wonderful job too teaching people through their first canyon and demonstrating safe desert hiking practices. I highly recommend traveling with Get in the Wild.

Hi Diantha, Thank you very much for your review. It was certainly a pleasure getting out in the canyons with you again. We take great pride in operating our canyoneering tours in a way that is not only fun and exciting, but educational as well. I am happy that the skills that you learned empowered you with confidence in reaching your objectives. We certainly enjoyed your participation and hope to Get In The Wild with you again in the future. Sincerely, Christopher Owner/Lead Guide Get In The Wild Adventures
