Our daughter and her family gave us a Christmas gift certificate for a morning hot air balloon ride over the desert just north of Phoenix. Our pilot's name was Mike and he is a very experienced pilot. He was awesome. He briefed the eleven of us flying in our basket so that we knew what to expect and he explained the things we could see near and far during he flight. His ground crew was excellent as well. The whole process from inflating the balloon, to the flight and the landing was a very special experience and we are both glad we did it. This was our first hot air balloon ride and we hope to do it again soon. They even serve you mimosas and a small but delicious breakfast at the end of the flight to celebrate. We are Arizona locals but everyone else on the flight were from different areas of the USA or from other countries. All seemed very pleased with the experience and we got to see the area from a different perspective. It was obvious that safety is a priority for Mike and Hot Air Expeditions.

One of the best experiences I have done while traveling ! The ride was smooth with breathtaking views ! We had a safety instruction when we started. We ended with breakfast and mimosas! It’s a bucket list adventure! This company did an amazing job!

The views were spectacular. It appeared our crew was a bit short staffed. We were the last up in the air and it appeared they had difficulty with the set up. Once up in the air we all had a great time. The fire was HOT! It would have been helpful to have been told about the amount of heat coming off the fire and to bring a hat or a long sleeve shirt etc. The landing was a bit rocky. Again a warning about the reality of it would have been helpful. Overall, this was a great experience and happy we used this company. Our driver was great and very funny.
