I had to convince my friend to do this with me, and let me tell you, it was my favorite part of my trip! I have always wanted to do this and this experience exceeded my expectations completely. Bill is the actual best! He was our captain and while it was a little scary to be in a hot air balloon, I felt completely safe and comfortable with him as the pilot. He was hilarious and he’s the kind of person I feel like I could listen to for hours with all of his experiences and witty sarcasm. The actual flight was so smooth it felt almost as if you aren’t moving, which was cool. We did tip over on the landing. As it is a balloon, and therefore wind dependent, and as we were landing in the desert, I feel it is a good thing to note. If you cannot handle a little turbulence, you may want to think before going. The whole crew was very helpful and it did not hinder the experience at all, but just made it more memorable. Rosie was our driver and she was also amazing. What a way to represent short women! You go girl! The breakfast was so pleasant and it was a really great time with a really great crew. You can tell Hot Air Expeditions has some really great, hard working people working for them. 110% would recommend.

Do NOT recommend. We were in an area where 10 +\- balloons went up, we had the only pilot who was scared to launch. Balloon was blown up and ready to go and he backed out. ALL other balloons went up. Pilot said he had 40 years of experience, the others must be rookies. Ha. We got up at 3am to make it there by 4:30. Wasted 4/5 hours of our vacation for nothing. Couldn’t reschedule while we were in town. Sad way to do business. My time is worth as much as yours, if you decide to cancel and nobody else does then pay me for my time. Many other options choose wisely.
