My experience was very disappointing! The tour was cancelled due, according to what our guide and pilot said, the wind. However all other balloons were in the air while we were left on the ground!! Immagine how disappointing this is after waking up at 5am with all the excitement to get on a hot air balloon. I could perhaps be a bit more understanding if during all of this mess they would have kept us informed and talked to us a bit more, but they didn’t at all! So we had to ask all the time what was going on! At some point the driver made a U turn on our way to the take-off point and didn’t say a word! And already the sunrise was gone! But apparently they don’t take off until the sun is already out ( however I saw other balloons in the air while the sunrise was happening so other companies must do!). Overall I felt the people were not competent enough to make us enjoy our tour and that’s why we didn’t fly. So I guess I was unlucky, since all the other balloons were in the air! The experience does look amazing though so I would highly reccomend it, but NOT with this company!

The staff - John and Marcus!!! Awesome team!! The take off and the landing so smooth. The views spectacular. The desert breakfast such special touch!! And the surprise cake for our anniversary topped it all!! Can’t wait to do it again!! Thank you!!

Unfortunately, my ride was canceled the night before due to high wind in the area. Of course, l was disappointed but totally understand - safety first!! However, I came out here to say that while Viator customer service was difficult to work with, the actual provider/owners of the Hot Air Balloon company were awesome! I called them directly to get some information after booking and they kept in contact with me via text right up through the cancellation. Like most companies, they take payment quickly but are slow to refund (5-7 days). Other than that, I will definitely try to book with them again if I’m back in the area.
