Fort Hays Old West Town and Dinner Show

The tour package starts at Fort Hays Chuckwagon where you get your all you can eat cowboy breakfast. Nothing better than home made cowboy pancakes, biscuits and gravy, sausage links with a hot cup of coffee to get the day started.

Mount Rushmore National Memorial

The bus departs at 9am and heads for Mount Rushmore! You will have a little over an hour to look around at your own convenience and enjoy the sites and beauty that you came to South Dakota for. We stop here first because Mount Rushmore is at it's best in the morning sun. Gutzon Borglum carved this mountain facing east towards the morning sun and intended it to be viewed this way.

Iron Mountain Road

After leaving Mount Rushmore we will travel along the Iron Mountain Road. A beautiful 17 mile road of breath taking scenery featuring 3 one lane tunnels that perfectly frame Mount Rushmore.

Custer State Park Resort

We stop for lunch inside Custer State Park at the Game Lodge and previous summer White House for president Calvin Coolidge. Try the Buffalo Stew, it's the best you will ever find!

Needles Highway

After lunch we depart for the Needles Hwy. This 14 mile scenic drive is sure to leave you breathless and awe struck at amazing beauty of the Black Hills. Sit back and enjoy the ride and watch the crowd gather around when we drive the bus through the Needles Eye Tunnel. With only inches to spare on each side of the bus you can relish in the fact that you are not the one driving.

Sylvan Lake

Take a rest stop and coffee break at the beautiful Sylvan Lake. This is among the crown jewels of Custer State Park and the beauty within it.

Crazy Horse Memorial

We spend about an hour at Crazy Horse Memorial. You are on your own to spend this time enjoying this piece of history in the making. Upon completion it will be the largest mountain carving in the world! Truly a piece of awe inspiring history being worked on every day.

Fort Hays Old West Town and Dinner Show

The tour package ends back at Fort Hays to include the Chuckwagon Supper and Live Music Show. This chuckwagon meal is sure to leave you with a full belly. The show is a Branson style variety show to include music for all ages to enjoy. Rate the best family entertainment in the Black Hills.

Fort Hays Old West Town et dîner-spectacle

Le voyage organisé commence à Fort Hays Chuckwagon où vous obtenez votre petit-déjeuner de cow-boy à volonté. Rien de mieux que des pancakes de cow-boy faits maison, des biscuits et de la sauce, des liens de saucisse avec une tasse de café chaud pour bien commencer la journée.

Mémorial national du mont Rushmore

Le bus part à 9h et se dirige vers le Mont Rushmore ! Vous aurez un peu plus d'une heure pour regarder autour de vous à votre convenance et profiter des sites et de la beauté pour lesquels vous êtes venu dans le Dakota du Sud. Nous nous arrêtons d'abord ici car le mont Rushmore est à son meilleur au soleil du matin. Gutzon Borglum a sculpté cette montagne face à l'est vers le soleil du matin et l'a destinée à être vue de cette façon.

Route de la montagne de fer

Après avoir quitté le mont Rushmore, nous emprunterons l'Iron Mountain Road. Une belle route de 17 miles de paysages à couper le souffle avec 3 tunnels à une voie qui encadrent parfaitement le mont Rushmore.

Parc d'État de Custer Resort

Nous nous arrêtons pour déjeuner à l'intérieur du Custer State Park au Game Lodge et à la Maison Blanche de l'été précédent pour le président Calvin Coolidge. Essayez le Buffalo Stew, c'est le meilleur que vous trouverez jamais !

Autoroute des Aiguilles

Après le déjeuner, nous partons pour la Needles Hwy. Cette route panoramique de 14 miles vous coupera le souffle et vous émerveillera devant la beauté incroyable des Black Hills. Asseyez-vous et profitez du trajet et regardez la foule se rassembler lorsque nous conduisons le bus à travers le tunnel Needles Eye. Avec seulement quelques centimètres à perdre de chaque côté du bus, vous pouvez apprécier le fait que vous n'êtes pas celui qui conduit.

Lac Sylvain

Faites une halte et une pause-café au magnifique lac Sylvan. C'est l'un des joyaux de la couronne du parc d'État de Custer et de la beauté qu'il contient.

Mémorial du cheval fou

Nous passons environ une heure au Crazy Horse Memorial. Vous êtes seul pour passer ce temps à profiter de ce morceau d'histoire en devenir. Une fois terminé, ce sera la plus grande sculpture de montagne au monde ! Vraiment un morceau d'histoire inspirante sur laquelle on travaille tous les jours.

Fort Hays Old West Town et dîner-spectacle

Le voyage organisé se termine à Fort Hays pour inclure le souper Chuckwagon et le spectacle de musique en direct. Ce repas de chariot est sûr de vous laisser le ventre plein. Le spectacle est un spectacle de variétés de style Branson qui comprend de la musique pour tous les âges. Évaluez le meilleur divertissement familial des Black Hills.

This tour was worth every penny! It was well-organized and delightful in every way. The people at check-in, the gift shop, and at the exhibits were friendly and helpful. We even met the owner, Herman Jones. Our driver, Pastor Dan, was outstanding! He gave us an abundance of information in an interesting way with a sense of humor in addition to driving us safely around the Black Hills including those super small tunnels on the Needles Highway. The food at breakfast and the Chuckwagon dinner was delicious and plentiful. The show after dinner was entertaining with talented musicians. I highly recommend this tour.

Tour was great and included all the main sights to see. Our tour guide, Dan, was fantastic, funny and turned out later in the day very talented. Show was super cute and fun. Mount Rushmore…no picture can do it justice. Highly recommend…highlight of our trip so far!

When boarding the bus, Gary the driver stated he was boarding by when we made the reservation. He then proceeded to board everyone without children. The last to be called were our group, Grandma, Grandpa and 3 Grandsons, another family with one child. 2 Grandsons and the family got the last 2 rows next to the restroom. My wife, myself and one grandson were forced to sit in aisle seats apart from each other. I told the driver I was livid; we made our reservation a month in advance. He said he had a hard time reading the list. He said he would try to do something; his solution was to ask a young lady to move to a seat with a overweigh woman. The overweight woman complained when the young lady wanted to get off the bus to take pictures. So, the young lady moved back next to my grandson. Please note we and the other family were the only ones with children. On Friday we made a trip back to the venue to voice our dissatisfaction with the day. The person I spoke with said a manager would be calling us. No Call therefore poor review. I did have a talk with my grandchildren about bigotry, prejudice using this experience as an object lesson. My grandson said maybe it was because I had an unlit cigar in my mouth, and I was wearing a US Navy veteran hat. Finally, my suggestion is that someone other than Gary load the bus following your guidelines of loading passengers according to when they made their reservations.
