National Corvette Museum
The National Corvette Museum is a showcase to America's sports car.  Start your tour with a short film about the history of the Corvette and the Corvette Museum.  As you walk though the museum you'll see exhibits featuring over 70 Corvettes in periodic settings including a mid-century barbershop, service station and dealership.  You'll see Corvette prototypes, one-of-kind cars, and racing champs.  Enjoy hands-on activities in KidZone , trivia kiosks, and the "Corvette Cave In” exhibit.  This exhibit takes visitors back to the early morning hours of February 12, 2014 when the earth opened up inside the Museum’s Skydome, swallowing the classic Corvettes.  The Museum's Skydome offers a glimpse of the size and depth of the sinkhole as well as the retrieved Corvettes. Guests are also invited to try a Corvette on for size in the lobby. The Corvette Store offers apparel, collectibles, home and gift items.  An on-site 50's-inspired Corvette Cafe serves breakfast, lunch and snacks.

This is a wonderful museum. As you enter we saw 6 brand new Corvettes that were ready for pickup from their new owners. There were plaques with their names and we could see one gentleman sitting in the car getting briefed on the car. Tickets were $15 for adults which I thought was very reasonable for all we saw. You can see the first generation cars all the way to the new models. They also have some race cars on display. The 2014 sinkhole is re-created and then you can see all 8 cars affected/destroyed by the event. The dome shows how large the hole was. All very interesting. They have a nice gift shop with all things Corvette. We took our grandson and he loved all the cars. They were also demo’ing tractors in the parking lot the day we were there and he loved this. You can spend anywhere from one hour to 4+ hours reading all about the cars. Open from 8am-5pm daily. We didn’t realize all Corvettes are assembled here in Bowling Green, KY.

am very saddened by my experience today at this museum- my kids and I had looked forward to it all day and only had the last 30 minutes to enjoy. I was reminded of that the moment we entered the museum. My kids ran directly for the kids area - I left them there for 3 minutes to take a few pictures. A tall, older gentleman who “kindly” reminded me upon entry I only had 30 minutes, came in to tell me I had 19 minutes. I let him know we would leave in 15 minutes. He then stood there, questioning me, telling me he had to clean up. I asked him if he wanted me to leave and he said “do what you need to do”. So we left. I went back to complain. I told him it was a terrible experience. I was so taken aback that I was shaking. As he continued to interrupt me, he told me I wasn’t supposed to leave my kids alone, I told him that he didn’t tell me that. He then told me it was on the door and not his job to tell me. He continued to interrupt me and I firmly told him multiple times I was still speaking. I let him know he didn’t tell me not to leave my kids alone, but basically leave. I let him know that it was just a terrible customer experience. He said that was my opinion, and I said, no it is a fact. He said, well there are cameras (?). Later, my children told me he approached them in the kids area (I saw him walk in and was 20 feet behind him). He looked at my 4 year old daughter and told her to "go find her mom" - leaving him alone with my 8 year old son. My son told him "we will wait for her here - she will be back in a few minutes". I'm not sure why this man was telling my four year old to wonder by herself to find her mom, or approaching my well-behaved kids at all without a parent present. I would not recommend based on this -I felt threatened and my kids were very disappointed. We were treated so poorly.

If you’re a Corvette fan or love sports cars this is a good spot to visit. They have classic, racing, modern and one of a kind car on display. This is where the sinkhole swallowed some cars into a cave and they have been recovered and are in their mangled display state.
