Nice overview of New Orleans’ history and today. James was awesome and really tended to what the group wanted to see.

Thank you for touring and taking the time to review! James is a great tour guide and is wonderful at finding out the interests of his group of guests and customizing the pace and content of his tour. Everyone wants to "get" New Orleans, so we've discovered that if we find a topic that is interesting to each of our guests, a connection is made and the whole experience is more meaningful. Please come again!

We had an amazing experience on our tour. Our family of four were the only people in the walking group. James was easy to talk to, incredibly knowledgeable and had a very easy to understand and entertaining delivery. Will definitely take friends from out of town on the same tour again.

We had the best tour guide named James. We started out making our way to the cemetery where James gave us very detailed history of the Lafayette area. One of the best parts of the tour was in the cemetery. I never felt rushed and and I can’t believe how much I learned about New Orleans burial style and traditions. There’s so much history that it was nice to have a guide that knew what he was talking about. We made our way through the Garden district to see some of the pre-civil war homes and some of the newer builds in the area. What a beautiful neighborhood to be in. I was happy to see what was Anne Rices house and we were lucky enough to see John Goodman taking his dog for a walk!! This whole tour felt like a casually stroll with a friend who just happens to know A LOT about the area.
I highly recommend this tour and James. He was mind enough to have extra clothes available since the weather is ever changing. I can appreciate someone who is always prepared.
You will not be disappointed, just book it.

James is the guide who will give you the sweater off his back! The winter is unpredictable in New Orleans in January, but everyone should take time to visit the Garden District and Lafayette Cemetery #1. James really loves that cemetery and the neighborhood around it and he never stops learning. I'm glad you got to walk with him and that you saw John Goodman and his sweet dog. Please come again!
