This tour takes place in a van (not a bus), and the tour is conducted by a local/native of New Orleans - which is the best kind! Celebration Tours beats out the Grayline city tours, by far.

We booked this 3 hour tour and are so glad we did. Our Van tour guide was Wanda and her friendliness, depth of knowledge, and Nola generation background was worth the cost and more.Unfortunately it was a very cold day and it made for walking in the cemetery a quick time. Her knowledge of who lives where, whos buried there and the neighborhoods was spot on. She knows nothing about garages(inside joke) that one of the passangers wanted to know but we had fun. I feel so very sorry for the sections still feeling the brunt of katrina but like Wandas spirit it is on the upswing. Tip her well, thanks Wanda. The only downside was when we stopped for coffee we made the mistake of ordering coffee from a bitter lil man who made a face and never returned when we told him we ordered black. Wanda said he was from Buffalo, dont know if she was joking. Shame on him we are good tippers.Would complain on that site but cant find the name of the place. Wonderful city New Orleans.Nice first visit made nicer by Wanda.

We were lucky to have a tour guide that has lived in New Orleans his entire life. He has even written a guide about the city. The tour was in a nice sized mini-van so it was like having your own personal guide. The gentleman did an excellent job in taking us to all the places of interest. He also used a microphone so everybody could hear. It was wonderful and I would highly recommend this tour. We had taken two different bus tours but we opted to take this one first to give us an overall presentation of what we might want to see when taking the hop on and hop off tour. We followed up the next day with the fun looking Hop on/off Red bus tour, where you can spend more time at each historic site. Thank you Celebration Tours!
