We used the Go City Explorer Pass and reservered our timeslot previously. The tour guide, I just cannot remember his name, was knowledgeable and offered a lot of useful information about the neighborhood, the church. Just one thing - don't call these resting places catacombs - they are crypts. Catacombs are so much more than a few resting places in a basement. It's probably a marketing decision to name them 'catacombs', but it is rather misleading.

I suppose I suffer from the old "I read the heading but not the description" syndrome that many others also described in their reviews. Our guide strove to entertain and engage with the group, but the tour's content was not at all exciting. It's a gravesite that's underground. You walk down hallways punctuated with slabs of granite memorializing the entombed - much like a cemetery; however, it is underground. Nevertheless, if you happen to be Catholic, you may find the history the guide provides enthralling. Unfortunately, I found the history lesson not what I expected from a catacombs tour and was a little disappointed.
