The experience had potential but ultimately felt unsafe. The swell was so strong that the boat was spinning and rocking back and forth at 45-degree angles. Many people were visibly unhappy and sick, with some even vomiting over the side of the boat. Getting on and off the boat was extremely challenging due to the intense rocking. There were also concerns about safety, as kids didn’t have life vests and had to jump into open water in complete darkness. The tour company should warn participants about the likelihood of intense motion sickness beforehand. Additionally, the tour was run by three teenagers, who did their best but were clearly overwhelmed by the responsibility of managing 47 guests - many feeling ill and unhappy.

The beautiful manta rays are meant to be seen this way! Professional and fun staff. These guys know what they are doing. Customer service touches like “uber rides” back to the boat and a warm shower were unexpected surprises. Highly recommend!

Easy from start(ticket purchase) to finish(back to the car exhausted and bewitched by the mantas) . Good directions with clear expectations of the event. Meeting point was easy and clear to find with straight forward support from the tour crew. Getting equipment and loaded on the boat was simple, tour guides commentary was funny while getting important information across. The boat ride was beautiful (we did a 6:30pm tour) arrival at tour site was combined with more clear and calming info from tour guides. Getting in the water and seeing the first mantas was amazing! The entire time our tour crew was right there with us! I have no idea how long we were in the water(long enough to tire my muscles) but the time in the water with the mantras was magical~ these majestic creatures were so graceful and beautiful the whole world stopped and only the moments with my family and these gracious animals mattered. Getting back in the boat was easy.and we were well guided again by our tour crew. Believe it or not jumping in a dark ocean and getting back in a boat from a dark ocean is slightly unnerving, however the tour crew was phenomenal in making it simple and comfortable. Relaxing with a snack on the way back, warm wind from the boat travel and endless wonder from the experience was enough the make the trip to the harbor short and sweet. My family and I will absolutely be doing this tour again and again and again!!!! MAHALO Ula, Noah and Kai!!!!!!
