We visited the cleary summit, as the Murphy dome roads were icy. This information was very helpful. Gina was very nice and informative she explained us a lot of things about northern lights and good restaurants around to explore. She was very friendly in nature and a loveable person. However, I was dissatisfied with one thing. The tour says 5 hours which means we should have stayed from 10 pm to 3pm. However, we departed from clearly summits between around 1.20pm. While returning back to the cabin around 2.00pm we saw northern lights near the cabin and on the roads. This is my assumption that if we would have stayed in Clearly summit we could have seen northern lights better but we started early. As it’s Mother Nature and things are unpredictable I don’t want to fully blame but overall this is what I personally felt that the tour companies concentrate on returning back on time rather than chasing northern lights. There are pros and cons of going with the tour companies. Given another chance I would drive on my own somewhere finding about road conditions and would stay whole night if needed to witness northern lights rather than sticking to a tight schedule. Because viewing northern lights is my priority rather than returning home at 2.00pm on time. Also, the description mentions complimentary snacks and drinks would be provided but we were not provided with any.

Guide was unfamiliar with this trip. He was very nice but gave us zero information about the Aurora and the science behind it. His area of expertise was not the Aurora. Destination was changed without notifying customers. Poor communication. Inflexible about re-scheduling.

Gina was fantastic and very informative. Fun tour even though we didn’t see any lights. Good location if the sky had been clear.
