NOW OPEN: Hudson Yards the High Line and the New Vessel

Aperçu
The High Line is a 1.45-mile-long elevated park, greenway built on a historic, elevated freight line. The High Line is a public park programmed, maintained, and operated by Friends of the High Line, in partnership with the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation. View art, walk through gardens, experience a performance, enjoy delicious food.

The southern end of the park is shaded by gray birch and serviceberry trees. Washington Grasslands & Woodland Edge section is full of grasses, perennials, and woody species that tolerate the shade of the surrounding buildings.

The Vessel “New York’s Staircase,” 154 interconnecting flights of stairs, 2,500 individual steps and 80 landings. Built bronzed steel located in the center of Hudson Yards. This honey comb shaped 150' tall art piece can accommodate up to 1000 people at a time. The tour end near the Vessel.

The area has undoubtedly been radically upgraded and even this side of town became worthy of visitors.It feels more like a decoration of public buildings that feels more familiar in any mega city in Asia.No tourist is sorry that this attraction is free.

The Vessel and the Shed are sights to see Inn NYC! The upscale mall and food court are worth a visit as well.

I want to hand it to NYC for their redevelopment and creation of new spaces and opportunities. The high line is such a value added feature. To walk the line and to relax and unwind is true bliss. The Vessel is another wonderful addition to the Hudson Yards area.
