The good: The Westin is a block or 2 from Times Square and many eateries. If you are looking for location without the madness of Times Square this is it. The bad: I booked a King room and received 2 doubles right in front of the "Associates", which is housekeeping. They are extremely loud at 730am. I am a little funny about the room being clean- Ive added a photo of one of my towels. We were sat for breakfast at the Foundry, but the food was taken away before we were through eating. No, we were not there for hours; I also went for a waffle but they shut it off and said it would take too long to reheat. For $34, I think they should have accommodated me. This hotel was average; it needs a lot of room upgrades and a little more attention to what the customer asks for. Suggestions: Down the block from the Westin is an amazing Italian restaurant, Tony's di Napoli. I highly recommend the tiaramisu.

My wife and I had booked this walking tour as part of our 4 night trip to New York. We’d booked and paid for it a good few weeks in advance. It was scheduled to take place on the Saturday morning but on the evening before, Friday at 7.15pm, I received a communication from Greg’s Walking Tours saying they didn’t have sufficient numbers booked so they were sorry but were going to cancel and reschedule to 3 days’ time - Tuesday. We were extremely disappointed : Firstly this was a really really late notification Secondly we were flying back to the UK on Monday anyway. The only saving grace was that Viator were able to refund us completely. But ultimately we were let down at the last minute by NYC Greenwich Village Walking Tour. ☹️

Bernard I share your extreme disappointment. Per our communication, if a tour does not have enough participants, a rescheduling or refund is promptly offered. The first remedy is to wait till the night prior to tour time to cancel. This is done with the hope there might be additional bookings allowing the tour to run. When this is impossible, the tour is rescheduled to the next available tour date. Unfortunately the next tour was not within your travel schedule. I promptly notified Viator and issued the refund. Greg Walks NYC has always refund all cancelled tours maintaining the highest commitment to best practices and customer service and is proud of our excellent 5 star rating. When you return to this side of the pond, please contact at 929-244-0587 so I can offer you a FREE tour as compensation. Again my sincerest apologies to you and your wife and best wishes for a Happy Christmas.

Greg was a lot of fun and looked out for everyone on the tour. We had a mixed group of ability levels, and Greg made stops for discussion that allowed everyone to rest when needed. We tasted an amazing cheese bread wrapped in prosciutto, fresh ravioli, a deep fried cheesy rice ball, and the most amazing potato cheese bread. Lots of wonderful sweets too, including the fruit cannoli. I’d absolutely tour with Greg again! Thanks for a great time!
