This is a fun-filled interactive walking tour of Greenwich Village's Italian neighborhood. See St. Anthony's Church, Raffetto's Pasta and then stroll MacDougal Street's Caffe Reggio. This 2+hour tour is led by local, licensed NYC tour guide, Greg Marro, with Italian family roots in the neighborhood since 1884. St. Anthony Of Padua Church

St Anthony of Padua is the first church built in the Americas for Italian Catholics. We will see the church's Romanesque interior complete with magnificent marble altar and Corinthian columns.

Father Demo Square

This quaint square's vista of the church's bell tower juxtaposed with the fountain, gives tourists a look into Italian American of this neighborhood.

Our Lady Of Pompeii Church

See this gorgeous Italianate 1892 Church, the only NYC Roman Catholic Church with weekly Sunday Mass in four languages: English, Italian, Portugese and Tagalog/Phillipino.

Greg was a nice man. I thought I was paying for and inviting friends to a food tour. It was mostly walking and hearing about Greg -his grandparents’ experiences as Italian immigrants, his philosophies and life antidotes. I expected it to be more focused on food. He brought 2 items for us to taste at the church where we started, then we made 4 stops for other tastings. Stops were him going into a store, then giving us a tasting portion to pass around. I checked reviews before we purchased the tour and the ratings were high. The above was our group’s experience.

It is unfortunate that you did not find the tour and the samples of brigadeiro chocolates, ravioli, Italian rice pudding, Arancini, bocconcini, mozzarella, and other delectable treats enjoyable.
